Reel Big Studios is a production company in Orange County and Los Angeles, founded in 2018. We handle creative, pre-production, production, and post under one roof, so you don't have to be handed off to separate contractors. We have our own camera packages, trucks and 4K livestream broadcast setups. We cut and back up the work on our own petabyte server. We are built for social campaigns, features, and large commercials.

What we make

Our team handles all sorts of projects from branded social media campaigns, music videos, feature films, visual and technical direction for stadiums.

Production

Social Strategy: We can build out campaigns, and shows from concept through delivery because we own the entire production pipeline.

For Live: We build visuals for IMAG screens, direct our own camera operators, and live switch for festivals, arenas and stages.

Post, in house

Editors, DIT bays, and servers sit in the same building as the cameras. Footage is ingested and backed up locally, so you can come in and pull a project down the same day if you need it quickly.

Where is Reel Big Studios based?
Our hub is in Orange County and Los Angeles, but we have teams and equipment across the US, in places like Texas, Miami, New York and Europe.
What kind of production do you do?
Commercials and brand films, official music videos, livestreams and arena broadcast, feature film as well as campaign photography. Commercial work is the front door; live and music are close behind.
Do you own your own equipment?
Yes. Cinema cameras, lighting, trucks, a 4K broadcast flypack and livestream kit are all ours, and post runs in house. That takes rental markup and vendor hand-offs out of the budget, and it means we are not waiting on a rental house to start the day.
What is a flypack?
A portable broadcast control room — switcher, monitoring, record and stream gear packed into road cases. Ours is 4K. It is what lets us cut a live arena show without hiring a broadcast truck.
Can you come in on part of a job?
Yes. We take jobs concept through delivery, and we also drop in as production only, cameras only, or post only.
Can I rent storage or backup without booking a shoot?
Yes. Local server space and monthly backup contracts are available on their own, so a large project stays online, redundant and pull-ready in Orange County.
